Space 1999

Happy New Year everyone.  So how many of you have written the wrong date on a check this year?  Huh?  Ha ha ha.  I love that one.  Send your incorrectly dated checks to me... I don't mind.

Let's see... what's on my mind?  The NBA lockout is over.  Big deal.  I feel sorry for these guys.  I mean, they can't make over $15 million a year or something like that.  Boo hoo.  "Oh, I have a short career... I have to make my money now."  Hey, that line never works for me (at least no one's taken me up on that).  My suggestion: Plan ahead and get a job at 7 Eleven when you're done shooting hoops.

I'd love to get paid $15 million dollars a year for my job.  Imagine people coming to see me work while announcers provide commentary and an organ plays "Charge!" in the background.  "Look at Kuzeja go!  Look's like he's going to use a Tahoma 12 point font... no wait!  He's chosen Tahoma 14 point, and in boldface no less!  What a spectacular move!  Now he's going to tweak some colors..."  Yep, I'd say that was $15 million worth right there.

Let's pay teachers and doctors $15 million a year.

Okay, enough of that.

So, have you started hoarding canned foods in fear of all the looting, murder and mayhem that is going to accompany the Year 2000 bug?  You may want to start now.  Me?  I'm going to start toasting around 3:00 P.M. on December 31, 1999.  I figure if I wake up the next day around 1:00 P.M. with a hangover, everything is okay.  I'm just hoping that the moon doesn't blow out of orbit like the old Space 1999 TV show.  I won't have any lunar excuse to explain my mood swings.

I've been wondering about work for awhile.  Why is it that our country can't defend some nicer regions on the planet so that our company can install access control systems there?  I mean why is it always the Middle East or Eastern Europe?  Why can't we be defending Bermuda or Aruba?  Wait a minute... aren't there a lot of evil people in Aruba?  I think so.  I think we need to defend the... um... Arubanese (???) embassy.  I'm not sure if there is an embassy there but I think I should go and check it out.  YOU can go to Bahrain.  I ain't.

Well I'm gonna run.  ER is on.  I wrote this weeks episode.
