What's Up With That?

Some Celebrity

So it's Saturday night and I am floating in a pool of my own sweat as I channel surf. I can barely see the television through the waves of heat coming off my body. I am exhausted but somehow I manage to scare up enough energy to change the channels on the T.V. at a blistering pace.

Then I come across a repeat of Saturday Night Live... the one featuring Monica Lewinsky in a skit. The real Monica. Elevated to celebrity status. Monica.

Ladies and Gentlemen, er... how can I put this delicately? This woman smokes the President's kielbasa in the Oval Office and now she's a celebrity? I think of all the men and women out there who are busting their humps, waiting tables, doing odd jobs in the hopes of catching their big break and this chick comes along and takes a few drags on the Presidential peace pipe and WHAM! She's our newest celebrity.

I realize that this fact about Monica is already dated but still, to all you starving actors and actresses out there looking for your chance, I am sorry. I feel your pain. But feel proud about one thing... at least YOU didn't inhale.
